Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the M. Meursault application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users of the App.

The App contains content related to alcoholic beverages. You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts of users who do not meet the age requirement.

To access the App's features you must create an account. You are responsible for: • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. • All activity that occurs under your account. • Providing accurate and current information. You may not share, sell, or transfer your account to another person. Notify us immediately at support@monsieurmeursault.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

M. Meursault offers both a free tier and paid subscription plans. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe. By subscribing you agree to: • Pay the applicable fees on the billing schedule displayed at checkout. • Stripe's own terms of service and payment policies. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact support@monsieurmeursault.com within 7 days of a charge if you believe an error occurred. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice.

You retain ownership of all content you create in the App — including tasting notes, cellar entries, and photos. By submitting content, you grant M. Meursault a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process that content solely for the purpose of delivering the App's features to you. You are solely responsible for the content you submit. You agree not to submit content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes the rights of others.

You agree not to: • Use the App for any unlawful purpose. • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App. • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account. • Scrape, harvest, or extract data from the App. • Use automated tools to access the App without our written consent. • Transmit viruses or other harmful code.

All content, designs, trademarks, and software in the App are owned by or licensed to M. Meursault and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

The App uses artificial intelligence to provide wine recommendations and sommelier insights. These recommendations are for informational and entertainment purposes only. They do not constitute professional advice. Results may vary and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for purchasing decisions.

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. To the fullest extent permitted by law, M. Meursault disclaims all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, M. Meursault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or loss of profits, arising out of your use of the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or email. Continued use of the App after revisions constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the App.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which M. Meursault operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
