Privacy Policy

M. Meursault ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect data when you use the M. Meursault iOS application ("App"). By using the App you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We collect only the data necessary to provide the App's core functionality: • Contact Information — Your email address or phone number, provided when you create an account. Used solely for authentication. • Profile Information — Your display name and optional profile photo. • User Content — Wine cellar entries, tasting notes, saved wines, bottle reminders, and other content you create within the App. This data is linked to your account. • Device Identifier — A Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token is stored to deliver push notifications (e.g. bottle-opening reminders). This token is not linked to your identity. • Photos — If you choose to upload a profile photo, the image is stored securely in our cloud storage.

We use the information we collect exclusively to: • Provide, maintain, and improve the App's core features. • Authenticate your account securely. • Deliver push notifications you have scheduled or enabled. • Generate personalised wine recommendations using AI (processed server-side; your content is not stored by third-party AI providers). • Process subscription payments via Stripe. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your data is stored in a secure cloud database provided by Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security policies enforced. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS. We retain your data for as long as your account is active.

The App integrates with the following third-party services: • Supabase — Database and authentication (supabase.com) • Firebase Cloud Messaging — Push notification delivery (firebase.google.com). Firebase may collect a Device ID for this purpose as described in Google's privacy policy. • Stripe — Payment processing for subscriptions (stripe.com). We do not store your payment card details. • OpenAI — AI-powered recommendations are processed via our server-side edge functions. Your wine content is sent to OpenAI's API but is not used for model training under their API usage policy. Each provider operates under their own privacy policy.

We do not use advertising identifiers, cross-app tracking technologies, or third-party analytics SDKs. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

You may request to: • Access the personal data we hold about you. • Correct inaccurate data. • Delete your account and all associated data. • Export your wine cellar and tasting notes. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@monsieurmeursault.com. We will respond within 30 days.

The App contains content related to alcohol and is intended for users aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal data, contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
